This movie seems to be more focused on the Visual Effects (which are great by way) than the story and character, which is a shame because there is a good story here. The pacing just kind of ruins it for me. This would have worked better as the Pilot for Phase II but compared to other Star Trek movies, it's not the best (First Contact or Wrath of Khan) nor is it the worst (Final Frontier).
